Q693 meets a hopper train at Kilgore |
| Description: |
This is the first time I have seen a coal train use the siding at Kilgore. Since they extended this siding and closed most of the grade crossings in it, this siding is now a decent place to meet trains. Once the CTC is turned on, I'm sure it will get a lot more use! |

After waiting here for a couple of hours, Q693 finally gets to head south. You can see the new CTC signals installed here at S Ora. This will be the beginning of a stretch of CTC extending between here and Irby -- about 5-7 miles or so. Those old block boards will be a memory within a few months |
